Messi

The season for FC Barcelona hasn’t started so good as they expected, Regular Reporter notes. With their key player Messi missing out because of an injury, they have been struggling for a win. However, in the last three games played in La Liga, they only won once against Betis on home ground, with a astonishing result of 5:2. In fact, that’s their only win since the season began. The first match played against Athletico Bilbao on their home stadium, was ended with a loss for Barca with 1:0.

However, the last result of the game they played says it all. The club drawed against Osasuna, last Saturday on Osasuna’s home Estadio El Sadar (Pamplona). The main referee Munuera ended the game after a 94 minute play, with a result of 2:2. Even tough Messi has been out for 3 weeks, Barca had some good chances which they didn’t take. That is because of the Champions League Forward of the Year being injured.

Messi’s Recovery Might Take Longer Than Expected

With more than three weeks out, Messi has been struggling with his recovery on his right leg calf. Not to forget that he also had missed out the mini tour along the USA, with Barcelona’s players. The 32-year-old icon continues to recover from his injury. As he has been pictured through more training sessions in recent weeks and was in line to play at the 2nd match of this season against Real Betis, Messi cheered from the stands.

Barcelona’s coach Ernesto Valverde didn’t risk putting him in nor against Osasuna, although he has been seen training alone. Despite the speculations from some Spanish media that he will be out for more than a month, Barca has already denied that.

The coach won’t be rushing Messi’s return to the starting line-ups soon, as their captain recovery has been taking longer than expected. All the rumors of an injury setback have been categorically denied by his club, confirming that they just want to be cautious with their key player. Nobody could tell for sure when will Messi be back playing at his club.
