As the Regular Report stated that the fires in Amazon have burned many acres of forest in Brazil, a video has come up on what we will do without the rain forest. However, many popular actors and actresses, singers and celebrities have spoken out, praying and calling for action for the Brazilian rain forest.
The fires this year in the Amazon region, increased by 84% compared to this period last year, according to the Brazil’s National Institute of Space Research. In an earlier report from the Regular Reporter, stating that the fires have been a consequence of an human error.
The celebrities are now gathered on social media, praying and asking for help, with a trending hashtag #prayforamazonia. Here is what they are saying:
1. Leonardo DiCaprio
DiCaprio has been helpful by sharing images from Rainforest Alliance and the Rainforest Trust on his Instagram, and telling his followers ways of helping the climate change. In fact, hes environmental foundation has launched the Amazon Forest Fund, pledge $5 million in aid to the Amazon.
Madonna shared a photo of the fires in the Amazon with her own personal caption.

Diddy shared a video with his daughters, telling the followers about fire action.
“The Amazon has been burning for weeks, but we are just now hearing about this. The Amazon is the largest rain forest on the planet and contains 20% of our worlds oxygen,” he captioned the video. “The fires are burning at one of the fastest paces in years. We only have one planet and we have to take care of it.”
